Optima English Programmes offers the very highest standards of teaching and supervision. All our teaching staff hold a TEFL qualification in addition to higher education qualifications and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
We are proud of our efficiency and professionalism when running courses. We want our students to take away not only a greater understanding of English, but great memories too!

Susan and John Cronin - Co-Directors
Optima English Programmes is bought to you by co-Directors John and Susan Cronin. John has been organising language courses for over 35 years, and Susan supervises the efficient running of the organisation with special responsibility for the ‘English through Drama and Dance’ department. She has wide welfare knowledge with more than 25 years experience hosting foreign students, and supervises this very important aspect for Optima.
Maggie Roberts - Head of Studies
Maggie has been a valued member of the team for the last 8 years, and has recently been promoted to Head of Studies.
She holds a MA (Master of Arts) degree and has been organising language courses for over 25 years.
Marta Scattolin - Social Programmes Coordinator
BA HONS French & Italian, PGCE Modern Languages
We are pleased that Marta has joined our team . She attended summer courses at Optima from the age of 15 until 18, and has an outstanding knowledge of written and spoken English.
A Graduate of Venice University and Master of Arts from Chelsea College of Arts London, Marta is a main contributor to planning our social programmes and is responsible for Student Supervision.
